At Pistachio Mandarin Language Centre, learning Mandarin is a fun and interactive because our teaching focuses on learning through experience and encourages interaction and communication relating to personal experiences, everyday events and interesting topics. Not only do you learn the Mandarin language, you’ll enjoy being immersed in its rich history and culture.
You’ll learn about traditional Chinese events like Chinese New Year, Mooncake festival and more. In today’s diverse world it’s a wonderful skill being able to connect and communicate in another language.
We want our students to get a genuine taste of what it’s like to communicate in Mandarin in realistic settings; not just textbook based learning at all!

Our Course Offerings
Group Classes
Per school term basis
Our classes take place at Kohia Terrace School, Epsom Auckland on Saturdays, from 9:30am onwards. Currently, we have four group classes ranging from junior primary schoolers to adults. We offer a free trial to new prospective students.
Private Classes
13 Lessons classes
We are also able to travel to your home, or meet in a public place to have a private class. It can be on a one-on-one basis, or a group class. Having a smaller group can benefit students enormously, as the tutors are able to focus more on the students individually.
Door to Door Service if there is a minimum of 2 to 3 students.
Businesses
13 week classes
We offer our services to businesses, and we are able to travel to your office to teach Mandarin Chinese. We are able to adjust our curriculum to fit your learning objectives, which can help your business to connect with your customers and suppliers.

We offer Online classes via Skype / Zoom with a tutor on a one-on-one basis. Each lesson is 50 minutes long (may vary depending on circumstances). Lessons can be customised to your learning requirements, and can provide you the convenience on your availability.

We offer our services to businesses, and we are able to travel to your office to teach Mandarin Chinese. We are able to adjust our curriculum to fit your learning objectives to include industry specific lingo. Minimum commitment is for 13 weeks.

Learning Chinese for future perspective
We have had the pleasure of having an association with Pistachio Mandarin for approximately one year. We did not know any Mandarin at the time. Besides wanting to learn a 2nd language later in life, my wife wanted to learn Mandarin to support new migrants coming into NZ at her workplace who are non-English speaking.
