Online Private Mandarin Course (Beginners Foundation)
Format: One-to-one (1-on-1) online lessons
Course 1: 13 lessons, 1 hour per lesson
Course content:
- Basic greetings, self-introduction, and polite expressions
- Numbers, dates, time, weather, and tone awareness
- Simple sentence structures through guided practice
- Introduction to festivals and cultural elements
- Chapter 1 content from the textbook and workbook
Learning approach:
- Focus on listening, speaking, and pinyin writing
- Lessons are paced according to the student’s ability and learning style
- Progress is gradual, with emphasis on confidence and continuous improvement
Scheduling & flexibility:
- Lesson times are flexible — students may request preferred days and times
- Scheduling is arranged in discussion with the tutor, subject to availability
Progression:
- Further learning pathways can be discussed with the tutor as the student progresses.
Group Online Classes
9 lessons course
Tailored for a combination of high school students and adults, this course emphasises foundational Mandarin through interactive lessons. With a focus on conversation, students will develop their listening, speaking, and pinyin (romanized Chinese) writing skills. Each 60-minute session is designed to be engaging and practical.

- Prices listed above are currently GST inclusive
- A 10% family discount applies to the third student onwards when enrolled for the full course
- Textbooks/workbooks are not included and may be required depending on the course level (learners will be advised in advance)
